Akihiro Kubota

Akihiro Kuboto visits from Tama Art University, Tokyo where is a Professor, with pioneering interdisciplinary projects including the launch of the first art satellites into space (ARTSAT). His team’s art satellite ARTSAT1:INVADER won the Award of Distinction in the Hybrid Art category at Prix Ars Electronica 2015, and the ARTSAT Project received the 66th Minister of Education Award for Fine Arts (Media Arts Division).  He exhibited in Space-Moere Project including tele-livecoding performance with stratospheric balloon in collaboration with SIAF Lab. at SIAF (Sapporo International Art Festival) 2017.
